Nach unserer Überfahrt sind wir auf Laumuan Island gelandet, eine kleine unbewohnte Insel umgeben von einem großen Korallengürtel. Wir sind beide etwas angeschlagen und gönnen uns einen Pausentag. Zum ersten Mal hier gehen wir schnorcheln und sind beeindruckt von der Fischvielfalt, die sich direkt vor unserem Strand am Riff tummelt. Viele kleinere Fische in allen Farben schwimmen in Schwärmen auf und ab, ein kleiner Hai umrundet uns interessiert und ein etwa 1m großer Rochen verschwindet majestätisch in der Tiefe. Von Land aus sehen wir mehrere große Gruppen von Delfinen, die direkt am Riff jagen. Die Nachmittagshitze macht uns noch schwer zu schaffen und wir sind froh, wenn wir ein schattiges Plätzchen finden.
After our crossing we landed on Laumuan Island, a small uninhabited island surrounded by a huge coral-belt. Both of us are a bit groggy so we decide to take a break. For the first time we’re snorkeling and we are fairly amazed by the diversity of fish that swims around the reef. We see a lot of small fishes in all sorts of colours swimming in a shoal, a little shark orbiting around us interested and a 1m ray vanishing majestically in the depth. From the beach we see a couple groups of dolphins hunting in front of us at the reef. The afternoon sun is burning hot and so we are glad to find a spot in the shade.
